The Virginia State Police is on the scene of a single-vehicle crash that left a driver dead on the Eastern Shore.
According to police, at approximately 11:55 a.m., dispatch received a call of a single vehicle accident at the 18000 block of Seaside Road.
When officers arrived, they learned that 49-year-old Marshall Scot Etz was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck when the driver ran off the roadway and struck a tree line. The truck became fully engulfed, and Etz was killed.
The crash remains under investigation.
