VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A Virginia State trooper was involved in a crash Tuesday evening.
The crash took place around 9:40 p.m., at the intersection of Dam Neck Road and London Bridge Road.
According to preliminary investigations, the trooper entered the intersection when 18-year-old Clare Whittey, ran a red light and struck the trooper's vehicle.
Neither the trooper or Whittey and her passenger were injured. Whittey was charged with failing to obey a red light.
