Elizabeth City 2-year-old airlifted to Norfolk hospital following dog attack

PASQUOTANK Co., N.C. - A 2-year-old was airlifted to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk Thursday afternoon following a dog attack.

According to police, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office responded to 118 Brickhouse Lane in reference to the attack.

The 2-year-old child suffered multiple puncture wounds and was taken to the hospital via Nightingale, police said. There is currently no word on the child's condition.

The dog was seized by Pasquotank County Animal Control.
