Elizabeth City Police searching for suspect following armed business robbery

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - The Elizabeth City Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at an Advance Auto Parts store Wednesday night.

According to police, the call for the robbery came in at 7:53 p.m. Officers responded to the store, located at 1105 West Ehringhaus Street, where they learned that a suspect came into the business with a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants. He was also wearing a black and white swirl print bandana to conceal his face, according to witnesses.

The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
