NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a fatal crash after one person was struck by a train.
Officials say they received a call at 10:36 p.m., that someone was hit by a train in the area of Campbell Lane and Campbell Road.
When officers arrived, medics pronounced the female victim dead at the scene.
Police say her identity is not known at this time and the investigation continues.
