VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a multifamily residence fire that left five people displaced Sunday afternoon.
Crews responded to the fire in the 1100 block of Netherland Court, located in the Green Run area, at 6:50 p.m.
Crews say heavy fire was showing from the back of the townhouse. The fire was under control within 25 minutes, according to officials.
Two town-homes were damaged and 5 people were displaced.
One person was taken to a local hospital to be treated for heat-related injuries.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
