CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a location Thursday in Chesapeake that features a Chipotlane, a drive-thru pickup lane allowing customers to pick up digital orders.

The new location, located at 1417 Battlefield Blvd, is the first of two restaurants opening over several months in the Norfolk area that will feature a Chipotlane. The second Chipotlane is scheduled to open in Virginia Beach later this year.

Chipotle is currently hiring at the Chesapeake location.

Chipotle restaurants offers residents the opportunity to receive competitive benefits, including a crew bonus that gives restaurant employees the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay each year. Chipotle says they also offer a debt-free degree program for eligible employees to pursue a free college degree, tuition reimbursement, as well as English as a second language and access to mental healthcare for employees and their families.
