WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - A former Walsingham Academy staff member has been arrested, accused of sexual assault of a student.

On July 24, a victim reported details to police about incidents of sexual assault that occurred from 1996-1997.

Officials said the investigation would reveal that Kimberly Suzanne Orange, a former Walsingham Academy staff member, engaged in an inappropriate relationship with the then 13-year-old victim who was a student at the school.

The alleged incidents took place in James City County, the City of Williamsburg and multiple other jurisdictions. The school was made aware of the relationship in 1996, and Orange resigned.

A police report was filed, but no charges were brought forth at the request of the parents, officials said.

Kimberly Orange, now 50-years-old, was taken into custody today charged with three counts of carnal knowledge and three counts of indecent liberties by someone in a supervisory role.

She was taken to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where she is being held without bond.

This case remains an open investigation, and no further information is available at this time, officials said.
