Franklin man arrested after allegedly attempting to meet with underage girl

Franklin, Va. – Southampton County Detectives arrested a man who was allegedly trying to meet with an underage girl.

According to detectives, they were made aware of sexually explicit messages being exchanged between a 13-year-old girl and an unknown person on June 1.

A detective that has Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) training and works with the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began to investigate the incident.

On Tuesday, officials surveillance the area where the man planned to meet the underage female.

Officials were able to confirms 54-year-old Mickey Lee Bradshaw, was the one communicating with the underage girl.

Bradshaw was arrested and charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of use of computer or electronics to solicit a child.

Bradshaw was taken to the Southampton County Jail and is being held without bond.
