FRANKLIN, Va. - A Franklin man was arrested Saturday morning on allegations of aggravated sexual battery and possession of child pornography.
According to the Franklin Police Department, while working an uninvolved incident Saturday, officers received information that resulted in the investigation of 59-year-old Robert Leroy Hobbs.
Officers searched Hobbs' home in the 1300 block of Clay Street, and he was taken into custody.
He was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and two counts of aggravated sexual battery, police said. There is currently no word on where Hobbs is being held or if bail was set.
