NORFOLK, Va. - A 15-year-old was killed after a hit-and-run crash that happened Sunday afternoon.
Police say they are investigating after a call came in for a crash at 3:45 p.m., in the 2900 block of Leo Street.
Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a Mercedes SUV ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle. The driver and passengers of the Mercedes SUV ran from the scene before police arrived, according to police.
The 15-year-old victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries.
