HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - The Graves Family will hold their annual turkey giveaway today, donating 400 turkeys to individuals in need, and adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
This year, they will handout turkeys drive-thru style, supplying them to anyone with a vehicle on a first come, first serve basis, and one per family per vehicle. No walk ups will be permitted.
The organization changed their giving method due to COVID-19, and now the turkey drive is open to the public.
For decades, the family partnered with local organizations to develop a list of those in need, and called for individual pickup. This new method allows the Graves Family to reach the community at large.
Starting at 12 p.m. today, the turkey drive will be held at Graves Funeral Home, located at 1631 Church Street in Norfolk.
