VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Most people don't win the lottery even once, so could you imagine winning 25 times?

That’s exactly what Raymond Harrington of Virginia Beach did in the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game.

He bought 25 plays in the July 17 night drawing. Each of the $1 plays contained the same four-digit combination: 4-6-4-0.

“Something just told me to play 25 times,” he told Virginia Lottery officials.

When that combination was drawn, each of his tickets won the game’s $5,000 top prize for a grand total of $125,000!

He bought all his winning plays at the Wegman’s located at 4721 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach.

Harrington told lottery officials his only immediate plan for his winnings is to help out his two sons who are in college.

Pick 4 drawings are held daily at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m. The top prize for a $1 play is $5,000. The chances of matching all four numbers in exact order are 1 in 10,000.
