NORFOLK, Va. - Temple Israel synagogue members donated more than 2,500 school supply items to Granby Elementary School today at 11 a.m.
As a part of the temple's initiative, Mitzvah in Motion, meaning "good deed" in Hebrew, the congregation donated the paper, pens, markers, notebooks and other products.
Parents and children will be able to pick up the items from the school at a later time. Granby Elementary is located at 7101 Newport Avenue in Norfolk.
