VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A woman in Virginia Beach won big on a scratcher from the Virginia Lottery when she originally stopped to buy an energy drink!

Stephanie Blanco had just finished cleaning out her car from a trip to the beach when she stopped at the 7-Eleven at 1040 Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach.

With the energy drink in hand, she also bought a 100X The Money ticket from the Virginia Lottery. When she scratched the ticket, she discovered she’d won the game’s $500,000 prize!

The Virginia Lottery said the "100X The Money game features prizes ranging from $30 to a $7 million top prize. The $500,000 prize that Ms. Blanco won is the second prize. There is still one $7 million top prize unclaimed. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 2,611,200. The odds of winning any prize in this game are 1 in 2.77."

Blanco said she hopes to use her winnings to buy a house and take care of family members.
