VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Health and state officials are advising people to limit physical contact to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, but that's not stopping one expectant Virginia Beach family from sharing the good news with their loved ones.
Courtney McLean sent News 3 a video of her family creatively revealing the gender of their second child - all while adhering to the recommended social distancing guidelines! The family hit the announcement out of the park when they decided to hold a small baseball game in their front yard.
Friends, family and neighbors drove up to the McLeans' home and sat in their vehicles as they anticipated the news. One by one, they were asked if they thought the baby would be a boy or a girl, and the family tallied the responses to keep track.
And indeed, the baby is a boy! Blue powder came pouring out of the baseball, and everyone honked their horns in delight.
The McLeans' new bundle of joy is due in September.
