Gov. Northam to speak on wind turbine program at ribbon cutting ceremony

Governor Northam will be the keynote speaker at the ribbon cutting ceremony as the Hampton Roads Area welcomes the Wind Turbine Technician Program. It will be hosted by Centura College Allied Health and Trades.

Schedule:

12:00 p.m. - 12:10 p.m.
Guests arrive.

12:10 p.m. - 12:20 p.m.
Opening remarks will be given by Dr. Joel English.

12:20 p.m. - 12:25 p.m.
Norfolk Councilwoman Andria McClellan will give remarks.

12:25 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Senior VP of Dominion Energy, William "Bill" Murray, will speak.

12:30 p.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Mayor and Chancellor Kenneth Alexander will speak, and introduce Gov. Northam.

12:35 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.
You will hear from Gov. Northam.

12:50 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place.

1:25 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
There will be an option to tour the new wind turbine labs in groups of five.
