CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Chesapeake Police is investigating a shooting that took place Monday evening.
At 6:30 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Coventry Close for a report of a shooting.
According to police, a group of people were walking in the area when a black sedan stopped near them. Officials say several males and females got out the vehicle and began to approach the group.
Police say a man pulled out a gun and demanded the belongings from the group of victims.
One of the victims resisted and was shot, sustaining serious injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated.
Police say the suspects drove off in the black sedan. One of the suspects is described by police as a Black female with green hair.
There is no further information at this time and the incident is currently under investigation.
