HAMPTON, Va. - Police are investigating an incident that left a man dead Tuesday morning as a homicide.
The incident was reported around 12:30 a.m., on Tuesday.
Public Safety Communications got a call about a vehicle crash in the area of Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
When officers arrived they found a vehicle that hit a guardrail. It was occupied by one male victim. Police said the victim, a 21-year-old Hampton man, was pronounced deceased from unknown injuries. It was later determined that the victim had been shot.
The incident caused a road closure near the I-64 on-ramp by the Hampton Roads Center Parkway. All eastbound parkway traffic was closed east of the on-ramp but has since reopened.
