HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are investigating a shooting after a victim walked into a local hospital with injuries Saturday evening.

Police say they received a call around 6:48 p.m., that a 22-year-old man was dropped off at a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries from a gun shot.

According to police, the victim was near Aberdeen Road and West Pembroke Avenue around 6:15 p.m., when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

The victim was then taken to a local hospital.

Police say the man is refusing to assist with the investigation. The motive and circumstances remain under investigation.
