HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person or people responsible for a shooting that left a man dead Tuesday evening.
Around 6:15 p.m., dispatchers received a call in reference to a crash in the 200 block of Webster Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim who had been shot inside a vehicle that had hit a residence.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was traveling in the vehicle on Webster Street when he was shot. His vehicle hit a power pole and two other vehicles before crashing into a home.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
