Hampton Police search for 2 men involved in shooting that left 2 men injured

HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two people in connection with a Monday afternoon shooting.

Around 1:37 p.m., officials received a call in reference to a shooting in the 1700 block of West Pembroke Avenue.

Police say they found two men in a vehicle that had struck a utility pole. Both were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was treated for a gunshot wound and the passenger was treated for injuries resulting from the crash.

According to the investigation, the men were in the parking lot of a business when they were shot.

Police describe one suspect as a dark complexion Black man wearing a white shirt. The second suspect is described as a light-skinned Black man wearing red knee-length pants. Police say the suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

The incident still remains under investigation.
