VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Are you good with a paintbrush? This may be the opportunity for you!
The City of Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Department is seeking an artist to create a stunning new "Gateway to the Bay."
In collaboration with the Bayfront Advisory Commission and partnering city departments, the city has identified a new gateway mural opportunity to welcome visitors to our Chesapeake Bay communities and beaches. The Cultural Affairs Department is looking to engage an artist or artist-led team to create large-scale murals on the 12 columns and headers on both sides of the Shore Drive underpass at Route 13.
The deadline to submit is May 1 at 5 p.m.
