NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Now that's what you call heroes saluting heroes.

Wednesday evening at Riverside Regional Medical Center, the men and women of the Newport News Police Department, Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, EMS/Rescue as well as park rangers surrounded the hospital with their trucks, squad cars, motorcycles and ambulances to pay tribute to the men and women in scrubs who are working on the front lines of the battle against the coronavirus.

With the lights and sirens of their squad cars and emergency vehicles on, Newport News Police Lt. Jeremiah Hairston sang “Amazing Grace” in this touching show of appreciation.

Check out video of the tribute above.
