VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Three people were injured in a crash involving a horse-drawn carriage and a vehicle early Sunday morning.
According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, the crash happened in the 2100 block of Great Neck Road. When officers arrived, they found three of the carriage's four occupants injured, with two suffering from non-life threatening injuries and the third suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle's driver and the fourth carriage passenger were uninjured. Police also said that the horse was left with minor injuries.
According to police, the horse-drawn carriage was traveling south on Great Neck Road when the vehicle struck it from behind.
