RALEIGH, N.C. - Protesters in Raleigh are demanding answers and transparency from police after a officer wounded a suspect during a foot chase.
Officers responding to a 911 call about a man with a gun outside a shopping center said 26-year-old Javier Torres matched the caller's description. Police said Torres ran and officers chased him, repeatedly ordering him to stop and drop the weapon before he was shot.
A judge has approved the release of the officer's body camera footage. Protesters marched to the police chief's home and the governor's mansion, later burning a U.S. flag.
