JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Troopers have identified the 61-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening along Interstate 64 in James City County.

Victoria Varnedoe with Virginia State Police said the crash occurred just before 5:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate at mile marker 233. That is the stretch of interstate between the Route 30 and Route 33 exits.

Troopers' preliminary investigation found Reginald Holland, of Newport News, lost control of his vehicle, which officials said ran off the road and overturned.

Holland died of his injuries, Varnedoe said.

No additional details were available at last check.

Varnedoe said the crash remains under investigation.
