SUFFOLK, Va. - The Independence Day celebration continues at Lake Meade Park with an Independence Day scavenger hunt.

It started July 1, implemented by the City of Suffolk, and will end on Monday, July 6.

"The scavenger hunt will include identifying trees, finding the dog park and searching for flowers. Bring your phone or camera to take photos," the city said in a press release.

The scavenger hunt is open to all and allows people to explore the park and experience what it has to offer. Those planning on participating should have their mobile devices or cameras with them, as the City is encouraging people to take photos of the clues and post them to social media. On social media, you are asked to use the hashtag #ParkScavengers.

After the scavenger hunt ends, a winner will be selected on Tuesday, July 7. The winner will receive a grill set.

More information on the scavenger hunt can be found on the City Of Suffolk's Parks and Recreation website. The list of clues can be found here.

Lake Meade Park is located at 201 Holly Lawn Parkway, near North Main Street and Holly Lawn Cemetery.
