Juvenile left with non-life threatening injuries following Hampton early morning shooting

HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect or suspects in connection with a shooting that left a 15-year-old boy injured early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:14 a.m., dispatch received a call in reference to a shooting that had just occurred in the 200 block of Union Street. When officers arrived, they located a 15-year-old male victim suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

Police learned the victim was inside a home when he was shot by an unknown individual who was shooting from outside the residence. The rear portion of the residence was struck multiple times.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information to disseminate at this time.
