Lidl donates more than 4k pounds of chocolate to Virginia FoodBank

SUFFOLK, Va. - Lidl US donated more than 4,000 pounds of chocolate and other treats to the FoodBank of Southeastern Virginia in Norfolk.

Lidl says it wants to help sweeten the day for thousands of families in the region during the pandemic.

Team members from Lidl stores in Virginia Beach delivered the chocolates and treats valued at $15,000 to the FoodBank on Saturday.

The foodbank will distribute the treats Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the following sites in Suffolk and Chesapeake:
