The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) will start to close early at 24 ABC stores in the Peninsula beginning Friday.
Starting Friday, those ABC stores will be open from noon to 7 p.m., seven days a week, until further notice.
364 other ABC stores throughout Virginia will not be impacted.
“The health and safety of our extended community remain our priority. Like many other retailers, we are adjusting our business practices to help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus,” said Chief Executive Officer Travis Hill. “We ask that customers aid in following Governor Northam’s recommendation to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people and limit visits to ABC stores.”
Customers are able to place pick-up orders online to reduce time spent in the stores.
