CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Metro Diner is holding a Valentine's Day charity raffle in support of the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

The diner is selling raffle tickets for the fundraiser. Each ticket is $1, or $5 for six tickets.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to CHKD, according to Leah Stephens, the diner’s manager.

Stephens said the diner wants to show their support for the children who are patients there, as well as the staff, especially as they endure the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"It's easier for adults to comprehend things when they're going wrong in life, kids don't really have that capability necessarily,” Stephens told News 3. “The more support we can show them, the more can encourage them to help them get through whatever they're going through. We just want to be a part of that and support all of the staff and their efforts for that as well."

The grand prize is a gift basket with Metro Diner gift cards and branded gear. Tickets can be purchased at the diner and must be purchased by Saturday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m.

Metro Diner is located at 1124 Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake.
