HAMPTON, Va. - A man has been arrested in relation to a shooting that happened on Saturday.
Around 7:15 a.m., Public Safety Communications got a call about a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital. Officers located a 27-year-old female victim who had been struck by gunfire.
Police said her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
40-year-old Lemoyne Rynell Williams has been arrested in connection with this incident. He has been charged with one count of Maiming, one count of Reckless Handling of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, one count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and one count of Reckless Driving.
This incident was originally reported to have occurred in Norfolk. However, investigators later determined that the victim was shot by a known male suspect in the first block of Angelia way.
