YORK COUNTY, Va. - Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash that resulted in Dominion Power utility poles being pulled from the ground, Saturday evening.

Police say the crash occurred around 8:56 p.m., on back Creek Road and Landing Drive.

According to officials, 25-year-old Daniel Street, the driver of a 2012 2500 Dodge Truck, was attempting to make a right turn on Landing Drive at a high speed.

Street lost control and ran off the road, striking a Dominion Power utility pole. When striking the pole, the wires pulled up two other poles from the ground, which blocked the area for several hours.

Officials say Street was charged with reckless driving.
