A man connected to a 2018 string of armed phone store robberies was sentenced to 90 months in prison.
Following his sentence, Kevin Farmer Jr. will serve five years of probation.
Farmer, along with Derek Granger, John Rutledge, Timothy Hill, Ja'Kual Ward and Rodriquez Nixon, robbed five cell phone stores from Norfolk to Virginia Beach over the course of two months.
Employees were zip-tied while the men took cell phones, iPads and apple watches.
Court documents show that in each of the robberies, the suspects had guns, forced employees to the back of the store and stole thousands of dollars in merchandise.
