HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Police Department identified 58-year-old Kenneth Charles Dail Jr. as the victim of a fatal car crash.
Around, 9:23 a.m. police received a call about a two-vehicle crash at the 2500 block of N. Armistead Avenue, according to HPD.
The investigation revealed a man driving a silver Lexus sedan was traveling southbound on N. Armistead Avenue, according to police. He lost control of the vehicle, it traveled off road and when it returned to the roadway, it struck the rear of unoccupied Newport News Waterworks truck.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries shortly after, according to HPD.
