PORTSMOUTH, Va. - A man was killed in a shooting in Portsmouth early in the morning on Friday, May 22.
According to police, the call for the shooting came in at 2:50 a.m. Officers responded to the 3700 block of Princeton Place, where they found a adult man with a gunshot wound to his torso.
The victim, identified as 54-year-old Oliver W. Reid, Jr., died at the scene.
The Portsmouth Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and arrested 53-year-old Samantha Ann Barfield on August 5.
She was charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony and second-degree murder.
