Man arrested following fatal shooting at Norfolk Wawa

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Police Department have arrested a suspect in connection to a Saturday night shooting that left a man dead.

Shortly after 11:15 p.m., dispatch notified officers that a man arrived at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Police responded to the hospital and learned that the man had been shot in the parking lot of the Wawa located at 3360 E. Princess Anne Road.

The man, Tabari C. Anthony, 21, of Norfolk, died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

20-year-old Joseph K. Pagano was arrested and charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm, police say.

Detectives have not released any other details surrounding this investigation.

Pagano is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
