MATHEWS Co., Va. – A 75-year-old man died in a crash Saturday evening, Virginia State Police said.
Around 5:45 p.m., Virginia State Police was called to a two-vehicle crash in Matthews County.
The crash happened on EB Route 14 near Route 3.
A 2007 Toyota Tundra, driven by Fredric Kutch, was traveling eastbound on Route 14 when he ran off the road and struck a Kubota RTV, police said.
75-yer-old Walter Strieter was operating the RTV and suffered life threatening injuries. Strieter was taken to Walter Reed Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, according to police.
Kutch was charged with reckless driving.
There is no more information from police at this time.
