NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Newport News early Sunday morning.
According to the Newport News Police Department, officers received a call for a shooting victim in the area of Oyster Point Road and Nettles Drive at about 3:51 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim in the 200 block of Pointer Circle, an apartment building off Nettles Drive.
The adult male victim appeared to have been suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at 4:01 a.m.
There is currently no suspect information, and the investigation is ongoing.
