VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Officials with the Virginia Beach Police Department's Homicide Unit are investigating after a man was injured by gunfire on Monday.
Around 10:22 p.m., police were dispatched to the 500 block of 16th street in regards to a call that reported a 'firearm violation'.
On scene, the officers say they were able to determine that the gunshots were related to a dispute between individuals in the 400 block of 16th Street.
While searching the area, officers located a man who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital but his condition is unknown at this time. There is no suspect information and the investigation remains ongoing.
