HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is investigating after a man was shot on Maplewood Street late Thursday night.
According to police, dispatch received a call for the shooting at 10:50 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 36-year-old man who had been struck by gunfire.
The victim was found in the road, police said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the motive and circumstances surrounding this shooting are unclear, and there is currently no suspect information.
