VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Homicide detectives are actively conducting an investigation after a man was shot overnight in Virginia Beach.
According to police, dispatch received a call for service for a firearms violation at approximately 12:22 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived to the scene in the 2000 block of Pacific Avenue and found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man's injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, and he was taken to a local hospital by medics.
There are no suspects at this time, and there is no perceived ongoing threat to public safety, police said.
