NORFOLK, Va. - The Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one death Saturday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-64, east of Military Highway, at 4:20 a.m. for the crash.
Investigation revealed that 40-year-old Vincent A. Daniels struck the rear of a vehicle that was also traveling in the westbound lane. The impact caused Daniels to run off the roadway and hit a jersey wall head-on.
Daniels was not wearing his seatbelt and died on impact.
The other vehicle's driver suffered non-life threatening injuires and was treated and released at the scene.
Alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash.
