NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Newport News Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead following a reported shooting on Aqueduct Drive.
According to police, on July 8, 2020 at 1:29 a.m., dispatch received a call regarding a shooting in the 13200 block of Aqueduct Drive.
When officers arrived, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
On Thursday the victim was identified as 29-year-old Eric Brown.
Police have not released any suspect information or the victim's identity, and the incident remains under investigation.
