Man killed in early morning Suffolk shooting, police investigating

SUFFOLK, Va. - The Suffolk Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Saturday morning.

According to police, dispatch received a call for the incident at 12:07 a.m., and officers responded to the 600 block of East Washington Street. When they arrived, they found a man, identified as 25-year-old Diamonta Christopher Price, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Price's injuries were determined to be life-threatening, and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Police have not released any suspect or motive information, and the shooting remains under investigation.
