SUFFOLK, Va. - The Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Fire & Rescue units responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 100 block of Manning Road that left a man dead Friday morning.
According to police, the call for a crash involving a pickup truck came in at 5:40 a.m. Sixty-one year old Byron K. Burney, the vehicle's only occupant, received emergency medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel.
Burney was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died at the hospital, according to police.
Suffolk Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
