Man robbed, stabbed in Suffolk while walking on Pruden Blvd.

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police are investigating a robbery and aggravated assault that took place Sunday evening.

Officials say they received at 6:30 p.m. after a man reported that he was robbed and stabbed by an unknown person while walking in the 2300 block of Pruden Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation determined that the man was approached by someone who displayed a handgun and demanded his personal items.

The man provided his personal items, which included a knife, and money. Police say the suspect then stabbed the man with the knife and ran.

The man was able to walk to a nearby business to call police. He was then taken to a local hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Police describe the suspect as possibly a male, of unknown race or age, approximately 5’8” to 6’ tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing and a COVID-style mask.
