Man seriously injured after Chesapeake dispute leads to shooting, police investigating

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Chesapeake Police are investigating a shooting that left one man seriously injured Saturday evening.

Police responded to the shooting at 8:35 p.m., at a business in the 700 block of Eden Way N.

Once on scene, police found that a dispute occurred on one of the upper floors in the building between several people.

During the dispute, shots were fired. According to police, one man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for possible life-threatening-injuries.

There is no suspect description at this time and detectives are currently on scene.

No further details have been released. The shooting is still under investigation.
