Man dies from injuries following late-night Chesapeake shooting

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead Friday night.

According to police, at 11:10 p.m., officers were called to the 2000 block of Linster Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they learned that an adult man had been shot.

36-year-old Richard Eugene Norman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died from his injuries, according to police.

Police are still investigating the incident.
